ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The Cardinals have moved reliever Phil Maton.

The Redbirds completed a trade on Thursday, sending Maton to the Texas Rangers in exchange for two prospects and international money, Sports on 4 Cardinals insider Katie Woo reports.

Maton was widely expected to be traded as the Cardinals were sellers at the trade deadline.
