The Colonial Road Runners have completed their Grand Prix races for the first half of the year (10 races from the Colonial Half Marathon on Feb. 19 to the Night Owl 9K on June 28).
After a summer break with lots of distance training for fall half marathons and marathons (in particular Chicago, Marine Corps, New York City and Richmond), the CRR will resume their Grand Prix schedule with 11 more races from Sept. 13 (the Hare & Tortoise 8K) to Dec. 20 (the Jingle Jog 5K).
For the women’s overall Grand Prix title, there are five strong candidates for the prestigious top three overall awards, and four more a bit further back.
