SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - For the fourth year in a row, the Notre Dame football team will wear green in South Bend.
In a social media post on Friday morning, Notre Dame announced that the 2025 “Irish Wear Green Game” will be on Oct. 4 against Boise State.
It appears the team will wear the green pants once again after donning white pants with the green jerseys in last year’s “Irish Wear Green” game against Louisville.
The “Irish Wear Green” game has become an annual tradition since Marcus Freeman took over as head coach in 2022. Notre Dame is 2-1 in those games, with the lone loss coming in 2023 in a 17-14 heartbreaker to Ohio State that many fans remember for the infamous “10 men on the field” gaffe at the end of the game.
Notre Dame kicks off its regular season on Aug. 31 at Miami
