Volusia County Growth and Resource Management Director Clay Ervin is leaving.

Ervin said he is retiring, effective Aug. 1. He has served in the position for almost a decade. The Growth and Resource Management Division includes planning, zoning, regulations, building permitting and code enforcement.

County Manager George Recktenwald will appoint Ervin’s successor.
