LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Police are reminding the public not to leave children inside vehicles after a woman was arrested for allegedly doing just that during one of the hottest times of the year.
According to the Laredo Police Department, 26-year-old Joselyn Aidee Terrones was arrested and charged with abandoning and endangering a child with the intent to return.
The case stems from a report made in June, when a man told officers that Terrones, who was supposed to be caring for his child, left the child inside a parked car while she went into a local gym. He also claimed it wasn’t the first time she had done this, according to court records.
Terrones was booked into the Webb County Jail and later released on a $10,000 bond.
