BALTIMORE —

The Orioles were extremely active this trade season, sending away eight players in just under a week as they attempt to rebuild the farm system.

In return, they received 15 new prospects, a massive haul for Orioles general manager Mike Elias, who has been criticized in the past for his lack of trade deadline moves. In his defense, it is a lot easier to be a seller than a buyer at the deadline, but some may have been surprised by the large number of deals made.

The goal of the club was to move on from expiring contracts and acquire talent that could help the team in the future. They ended up with five new prospects in their top 30 from the trades, with several others having intriguing upsides. Here is a look at the newest top prospects that have joined the Orioles club.
