VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Deputies in Volusia County arrested a man on Wednesday after they said he was caught going 105 mph in a 45 mph zone.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said Anthony Handam, 22, was driving on County Road 3 in DeLeon Springs when he was clocked at 105 mph.

A video from the sheriff's office showed Handam passing the deputy's unmarked vehicle at a high speed.

"Any reason you're doing 105 mph?" the deputy asked Handam after he pulled him over.

"Was I really going 105 mph?" Handam replied. "Come on. Are you that dumb?" the deputy said.

The video later showed the deputy taking Handam out of the vehicle and placing him under arrest.

While Handam was taken into custody, the deputy asked him if he had heard of Florida's new super speeder law.
