KUSI (SAN DIEGO) - Up North in Caroll country, the San Marcos Knights gearing up for Week 1 of the football season.

San Marcos losing some weapons like graduated seniors Jase Nix and Caleb Reese, but San Marcos reloading and hungrier than ever.

The team lead by quarterback Kreet Makihele who enters his senior year, the QB primed to be one of the top quarterbacks in the San Diego Section. Kreet finishing with just over 3,400 passing yards last season.

San Marcos reaching the Division I Championship game last year, ultimately falling to Granite Hills last year.

And don't forget to circle your calendar October 31.. as the famed Discovery Bowl takes place at San Marcos against Mission Hills, last year's battle decided by just a field goal.
