OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Smoke from Canadian wildfires sticks around through the weekend! This is the only hinderance to an otherwise fantastic Friday night! Temperatures stay in the 70s until about 10PM when we fall to the 60s. Enjoy!

We’ve wrapped up a rainy July with 6″ of rain recorded at Eppley and are heading into the start of August! By the end of the month our average high falls to 84 degrees and our sunsets will happen before 8PM.

Air Quality Alerts are in place for the area and continue into the weekend. They’ve been extended through 5PM Saturday in Nebraska and until 8AM Sunday in W Iowa. If you have breathing issues you should avoid time outside but everyone should limit high exertion activities outdoors during this time.
