A man accused of stabbing another man at a Shawnee barbecue restaurant Thursday will face an attempted first-degree murder charge, according to a court case filed in Johnson County on Friday.
Maikol Valdes is being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $1 million bond, according to the jail’s inmate listing .
The Shawnee Police Department responded to Hayward’s Pit Bar B Que around 1:30 p.m. Thursday after reports of a physical disturbance, according to a Facebook post from the department.
A man, later identified as Valdes, allegedly stabbed another man inside the restaurant and then fled, according to the post. The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
