SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame took the field for the first time this training camp yesterday, and there’s one clear storyline this fall camp: the quarterback position.

Right now, we don’t know the starter as it’s between two players: redshirt freshman CJ Carr and third-year backup Kenny Minchey

Both Carr and Minchey don’t have much experience. Neither has even started a game.

But we’ve seen flashes of their potential. In the spring game , Carr threw several precision passes right along the sideline while in that same game Minchey showed off his dynamic speed and elusiveness in the open field.

So, both QBs have a unique skill set. Carr is more pure passer while Minchey is a runner, and today they talked about their strengths.
