HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) has identified a new travel-related dengue virus case on Oahu.
This is the 13th case reported in Hawaii so far in 2025; one on Maui, twelve on Oahu.
State officials said the affected individual was exposed to the virus while traveling in a region where dengue is common and is not connected to prior cases.
DOH teams were deployed for inspection and mosquito control in the affected area.
The community is asked to help reduce the risk for any local transmission by exercising best practices described below.
