Canton, Ohio – The Detroit Lions kicked off their preseason slate Thursday night in the Hall of Fame Game and fell to the Los Angeles Chargers, 34-7.

All three phases struggled at times, which is why the final score was so lopsided, but there were some good performances mixed in there too despite the final tally.

Here are five players who stood out to me:

1. RB CRAIG REYNOLDS

The sixth-year veteran started the game with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery getting the night off and I thought he ran hard and showed why he's been a reliable No. 3 back for this football team the last four years.

Reynolds rushed 10 times for 38 yards with a long of 13 yards and scored Detroit's only points on a tough 3-yard touchdown run. He was good in the protection game and also caught one pass for
