CHEYENNE — Fighting food insecurity is Nate Janousek’s No. 1 goal. As the owner of Fun Biz Concessions, he has made it his mission to hold food donation drives after every single carnival he caters for — Cheyenne Frontier Days being just one of them.
On Tuesday morning, local food-centered nonprofits gathered behind the grandstands in Frontier Park along with Janousek and Wyoming first lady Jennie Gordon, founder of Wyoming Hunger Initiative, to collect leftover CFD food items.
The Wyoming Hunger Initiative is a statewide organization run by Gordon that works to prevent food insecurity by increasing awareness and support for the work of local anti-hunger organizations statewide, according to the website.
