WORCESTER, Mass. (WWLP) - A Worcester man has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2019 murder of a 23-year-old man in Fitchburg.

On Friday, 27-year-old Mugisha Jeanbosco of Worcester was sentenced to life in prison, according to the Worcester County District Attorney's Office. Judge Karin Bell also sentenced him to 25 to 30 years in prison for armed robbery, which will be served concurrently with the life sentence.

Jeanbosco was found guilty of these charges just last week by a Worcester Superior Court jury after a multi-day trial. His conviction of first-degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence with no possibility of parole.

The charges stem from the death of 23-year-old Leon Wilson, Jr., of Fitchburg, which occurred in the Pie Alley and Blossom Street area of Fitchburg. Wi
