Parting may be such sweet sorrow, but there was little in the way of sadness during what Cyndi Lauper says will be her final metro area appearance on Friday night, Aug. 1 at the Pine Knob Music Theatre.
Girl just wants to have fun, after all.
“I did want to come back and say goodbye, and I love you,” Lauper — who also performed last Oct. 24 at Detroit’s Fox Theatre — told the crowd of more than 8,000 at Pine Knob. “It’s my gift to you. I wanted it to be special…I’ve had a long career, and I’m grateful.”
