LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Dry and quiet weather remains in the forecast for the weekend and into the upcoming work week as a few areas of high pressure settle into the area. Wildfire smoke will become more noticeable today as it works its way closer to the surface.

Most if not all of the state is under an Air Quality Advisory for wildfire smoke moving in from Canada. This will continue for the day today and possibly get extended into the day on Sunday. Pollutants from the wildfires are expected to be in the unhealthy for sensitive groups with some locations across the state seeing the unhealthy range. That means those with heart disease and respiratory diseases like asthma and allergies should avoid strenuous outdoor activities and take frequent breaks if needed.
