Work begins Aug. 18

Work on buffered bike lanes, pedestrian curb ramps and other features will begin this month in north Tempe, city officials said.

The project will include the stretch from Continental Drive to Curry Road. It will begin Aug. 18 and be completed in the spring, according to a release.

The existing number of traffic lanes and medians will be maintained, the release from Tempe officials stated.

During the initial phase, crews will work on the west side of Scottsdale Road from Curry Road to Weber Drive.

The southbound traffic curb lane on Scottsdale Road from Curry Road to Weber Drive will be restricted.
