The tarp is rolled off the field during a rain delay before the MLB Speedway Classic held at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn., on August 2, 2025.

Saturday night's MLB Speedway Classic in Bristol dissolved into a watery mess as multiple rain delays plagued the contest between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds.

The game's second delay came within the first inning, and one video with Reds player Austin Hays driving in his team's first run shows how horrid the field conditions were at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The puddling of the water, the rampant rain on the players, the general haziness of the broadcast... take your pick. The entire game quickly turned into a water park, and it didn't even get a full inning finished before another delay.

My goodness, what a gross night for baseball.

Will there be another game at Bristol between the Braves and Reds on Sunday?

Well, this game will conclude on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on Fox. The second rain delay turned into a suspension. No other games were scheduled for this event.
