Chargers quarterback Trey Lance knew he would have a lot of opportunity in Thursday’s Hall of Fame Game — and the quarterback delivered an impressive overall performance.
But if you ask him what stuck out to him the most about his play, his mind goes to the things he feels he needs to improve.
Still, it's more than enough to build on.
"Zero for four on red-zone fades doesn't help," Lance said Saturday with a smile. "I think that's the thing that stands out.
"But I'm not going to be too upset about it," Lance added. "Turn the page and work on them and get better. I feel like this is a good starting point and continue to grow from there."
Lance completed 13 of 20 passes for 120 yards and two scores in the preseason opener against the Lions and was in control all night.
