AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Sod Poodles fell in their game five matchup to the Wichita Wind Surge by a score of 16-11.

Wichita put up 21 total hits to Amarillo’s 13 in a game that took almost four hours.

Five different Sod Poodles grabbed at least one RBI: Manuel Pena (1), Gavin Conticello (3), Jose Fernandez (4), Christian Cerda (1), and J.J. D’Orazio (1).

Amarillo faced many pitching woes in the game and used five pitchers throughout the nine-inning game. The five combined for a total of five strikeouts and allowed five home runs.

Despite the loss, the Sod Poodles still have the series win after taking a four-game lead and are still in control of the Texas League South Division after going up six total games.
