This particular gold five-pound piece was struck back in 1839, commemorating the start of Queen Victoria's rule, which began two years prior. Although its production numbers were limited to just a few hundred, the Royal Mint points out that while it's not the world's scarcest coin, it's often hailed as 'one of the most beautiful.'
