Glasgow Airport passengers faced "huge queues" this morning following an issue at security.

Pictures from inside the airport on Friday, August 8, show a long line of passengers waiting to get through security following the issue at the busy transport hub.

One passenger says he was stuck waiting in the queue for 35 minutes before his flight to London .

Frustrated Colin Botfield told Glasgow Live: "Took 35 minutes to get from terminal entry to through security, then another ten minutes to gate 12E for our flight to Gatwick at 6.55am.

"People were queuing from behind Celtic shop back to entry gates which were temporarily closed due to overcrowding, a member of staff said all the X-Ray machines were not working, when we got into main security area about 6am, several of the conveyors X r
