Mads Hermansen has been handed his first pre-season appearance in Leicester City’s summer friendly with the Dane preferred to Jakub Stolarczyk in goal.

Hermansen has not featured this summer after undergoing groin surgery before the end of last season, but is back to start in goal against Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon.

With this the dress rehearsal for the new campaign, it feels like a significant decision from manager Marti Cifuentes, and one of a number of curveballs in the squad.

At centre-back, Caleb Okoli and Jannik Vestergaard are selected, with Ben Nelson and Wout Faes on the bench.
