Donna Jones, the current Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, has been selected as the Conservative party’s official candidate for the Mayoral role in the region.
In May 2026, voters across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will help elect a regional mayor for the first time.
The new position will oversee vital areas including transport infrastructure, skills and training, housing, strategic planning, economic growth and environmental priorities.
