HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke police partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration on Friday in arresting a suspect and seizing a trafficking weight of heroin/fentanyl and cocaine.
Police Chief Brian Keenan stated that following a joint investigation between the Holyoke Police Narcotics/Vice Division and the DEA, a search warrant was granted at an apartment at 694 Dwight Street.
At approximately 6:00 a.m. on Friday, detectives and task force members searched the apartment and found approximately 125 grams of heroin/fentanyl (approximately 5,000 bags), 101 grams of cocaine, and $6,925 in cash.
Adiel Velez, 33, of Holyoke was arrested and charged with: • Trafficking Heroin/Fentanyl 100-200 Grams • Trafficking Cocaine 100-200 Grams
