HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Two men were arrested in Holyoke Friday morning in connection with drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession.

Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan stated that the department has been part of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug distribution within the city. Officers from the Holyoke Police Narcotics/Vice Division worked alongside members of CINRET West of the Massachusetts State Police, the Hampden County Sheriff's Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. on Friday, police searched a residence at 41 Portland Street as part of this investigation. During this search, three suspects were detained, including 30-year-old Montel Harris of Holyoke, the target of the investigation.
