Capreol will be getting a visit from Communities in Bloom judges this week.

The town is competing in a national category of the beautification contest that is based on population, putting it up against rivals from Western Canada in Athabasca, Alta. and Moosomin, Sask.

Two CiB judges — Larry Hall, from Buenavista, Sask. and Christine Isaac from Leduc, Alta. — will be evaluating the rail town on Aug. 5-7.

Businesses and residents are reminded to “tidy up their property before the judges arrive,” states a release from Communities in Bloom.

Results of the competition will be announced in Stratford this fall, during the National Symposium and Awards Ceremonies set for Oct. 16-18.
