LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — It’s a tight game, just 10 minutes or less, but regardless of age or ability level, the nearly 200 players hitting the court for this year’s YMCA Railyard Rims are doing so for a great cause.
“We’ve got 39 youth teams and 16 adult teams hanging out with us this weekend,” said YMCA Executive Director of Mission Advancement Dani Bryant. “And it’s not just basketball. It’s all for a great cause to support the YMCA and helping make sure that families have access to important programming, whether that be swim lessons or that they can experience the joys of basketball and also for families to experience YMCA memberships.”
Bryant said they couldn’t have asked for better weather for Saturday’s fundraiser, a 10-hour event bringing laughs, hoops and support to Lincoln’s Rail
