KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - With the FIFA World Cup set to take over Kansas City in just under a year, the local organizing committee is calling on more volunteers to help welcome hundreds of thousands of international visitors.
The team behind KC2026 , the nonprofit leading local planning efforts, said more than 10,000 people have already signed up to help – but they need more people to raise their hands.
“We want to make sure that everybody who wants to volunteer has that opportunity,” said Pam Kramer, CEO of KC2026. “The deadline is September 15.”
