LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — We're in the last stretch of meteorological summer, but so far, the forecast has shown us some favor for the beginning of August.

The past weekend has been marked by cooler-than-normal temperatures and lower dewpoints. This offered a refreshing break from July's intense heat and humidity.

When should I expect the heat? 

As we kick off the first full week of August, this trend will continue, but not for long.

On Monday, temperatures will peak in the high 80s to low 90s, with dewpoints in the low 60s.

How could the heat impact me?

This Tuesday into Wednesday will more closely reflect the climate normals with highs in the low 90s. Humidity values will start to increase, and dewpoints will reach more of the middle and upper 60s.
