HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — The Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD) is now searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a deadly shooting that happened on Sunday.

According to reports, just before 2:00 a.m. on August 3, HSPD officers were called with reports of shots fired in the 300 block of Mason Street.

Once they arrived, they found a man in the front yard, suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man, later identified as 43-year-old James Charles, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Police have now identified 25-year-old Austin Lee Warren as a suspect in the deadly incident.

Warren was later arrested on August 7 following a standoff with police in Tulia, Texas. He is being charged with second degree murder. Police say that 40-year-old Desray Gue
