TEMPE, Ariz. — In seven years of college football, the center position has been Ben Coleman's white whale.
He had played and mastered every other position on the offensive line, but had never played center.
Naturally, his emergence as the leading candidate to earn the starting job there in 2025 has made him the center of attention in fall camp.
"I like the pressure. I like the pressure put on me, like if you don't get this snap, it messes up the start for a lot of people. I like that. I like that challenge," he said.
Coleman is now viewing the position switch as a healthy challenge, not the stressful one it was when he first made the transition during the spring.
