BRISTOL, Tenn. — The Major League Baseball Speedway Classic was rained out on Saturday evening, but Bristol Motor Speedway officials said it would resume on Sunday afternoon.

The game was set to resume at 1 p.m. at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The baseball game between the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves underwent a two-hour rain delay Saturday night, after the first pitch was initially set for 7 p.m. The Reds and Braves played four outs, before becoming suspended in the bottom of the first inning.

Behind two home runs from outfielder Eli White and a strong outing from rookie Hurston Waldrep, Atlanta topped Cincinnati 4-2 in the first-ever MLB Speedway Classic at Bristol Motor Speedway.
