The Dam B Volunteer Fire Department has long served the citizens of east Tyler County but on Saturday the Fire Department had a historic day. With plenty of dignitaries, residents and of course members of the Fire Department, Brush Truck 24 was dedicated to serving and protecting lives and property in the area that encompasses Emergency Services District #5.

The dedication of the truck began with an honor guard that presented the American and Texas flags. Glen Kenney, one of the board members of ESD #5 presided over the ceremony. Tyler County Judge Milton Powers told those in attendance that he was proud of the Dam B Department and that people could see the improvements that have been made after voters approved a sales tax increase for the Fire Department.
