Angela J. Green has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Family & Support Services (DFSS), according to an announcement from Mayor Brandon Johnson. Green brings more than 25 years of executive experience in human services, having worked across nonprofit, state, and federal systems. Most recently, she served as Regional Administrator for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families (ACF), overseeing operations in six Midwestern states and 35 Tribal Nations.
