RAWLINS -- It was a return to the '80s in Depot Park on Friday, Aug.1, in downtown Rawlins, as people came out to take part in the Downtown Development Authority's final Summer Shenanigans event.

Participants not only were able to listen to some great music but also participate in several competition to win prizes.

DDA Executive Director Pam Thayer said this new event was created to not only provide the community with some fun throughout the summer but to also support the downtown businesses.

Local food truck were on hand to provide treats, and Rawlins In Motion offered a dance performance for attending residents. Other events for the afternoon and evening included a Hungry, Hungry Hippo contest, an ice cream eating contest, crafting opportunities, a breakdance battle, and an 80s costum
