MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WFIE) - Madisonville Police Department officials say they arrested a woman Saturday after she was driving with kids in the vehicle while under the influence.

According to a police report, officers received a call in reference to a reckless driver.

Officers located the vehicle at the intersection of Madison Square and East Center Street.

When police activated their emergency light, the vehicle sped through the intersection and proceeded to get on southbound I-69.

Officials say the driver, later identified as Peri Brown, made multiple improper lane changes, failed to yield through a work zone and was driving 81 miles-per-hour in a 55 miles-per-hour zone.

Brown then crossed the median and entered the opposite lane of travel on the interstate.

She continued southbound
