Katy Perry saves humanity in the fantasy world of her The Lifetimes Tour.

But on Sunday, Aug. 3 at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena the singer had to do the same for just one young fan.

Perry had called the youth, named McKenna, to the stage from her seat in the very top corner of the venue, drawn by the glittering blue sequined skirt she was wearing. Perry also waited for the fan and a friend to make the long trip down, chatting with two others she’d pulled from the crowd in a planned part of the show, to help her sing her 2011 single “The One That Got Away.”
