Police, Animal Welfare Groups Intervene in Multi-Property Investigation, Find Dogs with Scars, Injuries, and No Water in Scorching Temperatures

In a coordinated effort to combat animal cruelty, law enforcement and animal welfare organizations have rescued 22 dogs and puppies from two alleged dogfighting operations in Fort Wayne. The rescue, which took place on July 29, involved the Fort Wayne Police Department, Humane World for Animals (formerly the Humane Society of the United States), the Indiana Gaming Commission, and Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.
