DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Londonderry Township could become home to Dauphin County's next data center, but some locals aren't happy.

A proposed ordinance in Londonderry Township would provide regulations for data centers. If approved, a data center overlay district would be added to the zoning code.

This would enable data centers to be located in multiple districts within the township.

Some residents in the area worry that if the proposed ordinance is enacted, it could lead to loud noise, poor water quality, and increased traffic.

A public hearing is scheduled for residents to express questions and concerns at the Londonderry Fire Company on Monday at 7 p.m.
