ST PAUL, Minn — Minnesota businesses are invited to join Governor Tim Walz on a trade mission to Europe in the fall to improve economic relations.

Gov. Walz and the Minnesota Trade Office (MTO) will visit Berlin, Düsseldorf and Zürich to showcase the state for business investments and boost exports.

Last year, Germany was Minnesota's eighth-largest export market, valued at $649 million. In 2024, Switzerland ranked 22nd with exports valued at $232 million.

"Switzerland serves as an excellent test market for a range of goods and services, and is strategically placed as a gateway to European markets," according to a news release.

Germany is the biggest economy in Europe and the third-largest economy in the world after the U.S. and China.
