After a stretch of six practices in seven days, players had Sunday off from training camp. The Giants returned to action Monday for the final open practice until hosting the second leg of joint practices with the Jets on Aug. 13.

It is also game week for the Giants.

They open the preseason on Saturday (1 p.m. ET, WNBC-TV and WFAN) at Buffalo, where Brian Daboll knows his way around. The head coach, speaking to the media before practice, did not rule out playing starters in the game.

"That's something in the next few days we'll talk about as a coaching staff, and we'll do whatever we think is best for the team," Daboll said.
