ATLANTA — The reward for information in the unsolved stabbing death of Katie Janness and her 3-year-old dog, Bowie, has increased to $25,000, Atlanta Police announced Friday.

The $15,000 increase comes as the cas e marks four years with no arrests.

Janness, 40, was found stabbed to death inside Piedmont Park in the early hours of July 28, 2021. Her dog, Bowie, was also killed.

Surveillance footage shows Janness alive at 12:09 a.m. walking at the rainbow crosswalk at Juniper and 10th Street in Midtown. Katie Janness and her dog were killed in a stabbing in the park.

Roughly one hour later, officers found her body about 100 yards inside the park from the 10th Street and Charles Allen Drive entrance.
