The New York Stock Exchange has tapped Bryan Daniel, a former top official in Gov. Greg Abbott's administration, as president of its new Texas arm.
Daniel takes over the top job at NYSE Texas as the exchange continues to add dual listings of publicly traded companies and prepares to open a new headquarters in Dallas. Daniel will report directly to Lynn Martin, president of NYSE Group.
Most recently, Daniel served as chairman of the Texas Workforce Commission since August 2019, when he was appointed by Abbott. Prior to that, he served as executive director of the economic development and tourism division within the governor's office for more than four years and as the lead rural economic development
