A 53-year-old Chicago man remains behind bars in Mobile on charges he fled in a semi-truck from Mobile police across the Interstate 10 Bayway before midnight on Friday, according to police.

At around 11:18 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, police in the area of Dauphin Island Parkway and Old Military Road saw a semi-truck pass “at a high rate of speed.” The officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver continued driving, according to police on Monday.
