Bodycam video shows the moment a Florida deputy encountered an angry alligator that didn't want to be disturbed while taking a dip in a pool.

The video released by the St. John's County Sheriff's Office on Saturday shows Deputy Richardson responding to a home in St. Augustine to remove the gator from a backyard pool.

"I know you're mad," the deputy tells the gator as he grabs it and it thrashes about. "I gotcha, you're fine, I know, you're super mad."

After the gator was quickly removed, the impressed residents thank Richardson.

"Obviously you grew up here," a person at the house says. "Florida grown at its finest!"

"I'll load him up in the back of my car and I'll take him to a pond," Richardson tells the residents.
