Fresno County Assessor-Recorder Paul Dictos is running for reelection.

Dictos announced that he will run for reelection in the primary next June.

Driving the news: After first getting elected in 2010, Dictos will run for his fifth term in office. • He was born and raised in Greece and graduated from Anatolia College and Fresno State, where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Dictos has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1974. • Fresno County’s tax roll has doubled during his tenure as the Assessor-Recorder, reaching $123.3 billion this year. Dictos has not had to increase his staff despite the increase in the tax roll.
