SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs have reached an agreement with guard De'Aaron Fox on a four-year, $229 million contract extension, according to an ESPN report .
The contract puts Fox in San Antonio through the end of the 2029-30 season—and answers a lingering offseason question for a team now loaded with different skills at the guard position.
Fox, 27, joined the Spurs in February after a trade deadline deal with the Sacramento Kings.
Fox is expected to share backcourt time with Stephon Castle, the 2024-25 NBA Rookie of the Year, and Dylan Harper, the Spurs' No. 2 pick in this year's draft.
The three are expected to bolster 2023-24 NBA Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama as a young core for years to come.
Fox averaged 19.7 points and 6.8 assists in 17 games with the Spurs
