GREENVILLE, N.C. (WTAJ) - The West Suburban 12U softball team is one step closer to winning the Little League Softball World Series. The Mid-Atlantic champion advanced to the quarterfinals with a 9-0 win over the West region champion.

In her complete game shutout, star pitcher Reagan Bills didn't allow a base runner for the first 3 2/3 innings. Bills struck out 10 batters while only allowing three hits.

West Suburban gave her plenty of run support in the third inning, jumping out to a four-run lead. After scoring another run in the fourth inning, West Suburban piled it on in the final frame, adding four more runs.

The blowout win was a nice change of pace for the team after winning back-to-back games in walk-off fashion.
